SCHAUMBURG WATCH MOON METEORITE

In the pursuit of daily life, we often don't realize the immense impact the moon's phases have on nature and our lives. Thanks to civilization's development, we have drifted away from the rhythm that these phases set for nature. Terrestrial and marine animals live according to the lunar clock. The human body is mostly composed of water, and we, too, are subject to lunar tides. Depending on the phase, we might experience sleep problems, sleepwalk, or be more agitated.
Due to our planet's rotation on its own axis, we observe two water-related phenomena within a day: tides and ebbs. The Moon pulls water masses towards it, and the force with which it does so depends on its position in Earth's orbit: it is strongest at those places on Earth closest to the Moon.
The moon phase mechanism commonly found in various watch brands measures one lunar cycle in 275 days, making the primary drawback of these measurements their imprecision.

According to the sidereal or stellar calendar, a full lunar rotation takes 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes, and 11.5 seconds, but from new moon to new moon, there is a synodic month, which lasts 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 3 seconds.
Moon phases have always been a subject of interest for the Schaumburg Watch brand. The creators state: "Our goal was to integrate the most realistic moon phase indication with the most precise functionality in a watch." The company's work on this feature followed two directions. The first involved the accuracy of moon phase indications, and the second, its realistic appearance. Complex calculations and engineering work allowed for the development of a moon phase indication with extraordinary accuracy. A one-day correction is needed only once every 122.5 years. Meanwhile, the image of the moon in Schaumburg Watch timepieces has achieved a "photorealistic" form.
The indication during a full moon is as large as 13.4 mm in diameter. This is the "largest" indication offered in an automatic watch. During a full moon, its small image on the display glows just like its real counterpart, thanks to the applied SuperLumiNova A-grade material that covers its image.

In the case of the Moon Meteorite model, the watch gained an even more magical and galactic dimension. The watch dial is made from a fragment of an asteroid from the asteroid belt between the orbits of Jupiter and Mars. During collisions, these fragments separated from their parent body. The typical meteorite pattern – the Widmanstätten structure – forms only when molten metal objects cool very slowly, which in this case means millions of years. The meteorite used to make the dial in Schaumburg Watch timepieces needed millions of years and traversed several million kilometers to become part of this extraordinary watch. Therefore, each watch from the Perpetual MooN Meteorite collection is unique, possessing its own piece of the galaxy.
