SCHAUMBURG WATCH MOON METEORITE

In the rush of everyday life, we often don't realize the enormous impact that the moon phases have on nature and on our lives. Thanks to the development of civilization, we have moved away from the rhythm that the phases dictate to nature. Land and marine animals live according to the lunar clock. The human body is mostly composed of water, and we are also subject to lunar tides. Depending on the phase, we may have trouble sleeping, sleepwalk, or be more agitated.
Due to our planet's rotation around its axis, we observe two water-related phenomena during the day – the phenomenon of ebb and flow. The Moon pulls water masses towards it, and the force with which it does so depends on its position in Earth's orbit: it is greatest in those places on Earth that are closest to the Moon.
The moon phase mechanism commonly found in various watch brands measures one lunar cycle over 275 days, so the primary disadvantage of these measurements is the imprecision of the indications.

According to the sidereal, or stellar, calendar, it takes 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes, and 11.5 seconds for the Moon to make a full rotation, but from new moon to new moon, there is a synodic month, which is 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 3 seconds.
Moon phases have always been an object of interest for the Schaumburg Watch brand. The creators state: "Our goal was to integrate the most realistic moon phase indication with the most precise functionality in a watch." The company's work on this feature followed two directions. The first involved the accuracy of the moon phase indications, and the second, its realistic appearance. Complex calculations and engineering work allowed for the development of a moon phase indication with extraordinary accuracy. A one-day correction is needed only once every 122.5 years. Meanwhile, the image of the moon in Schaumburg Watch timepieces has achieved a "photorealistic" form.
The indication during a full moon is as large as 13.4 mm in diameter. This is the "largest" indication offered in an automatic winding watch. During a full moon, its small image on the display glows like its real original due to the use of SuperLumiNova A-grade mass that covers its image.

In the case of the Moon Meteorite model, the watch has gained an even more magical and galactic dimension. The watch dial is made of a fragment of an asteroid from the asteroid belt between the orbits of Jupiter and Mars. In collision processes, these fragments separated from their parent planet. The typical meteorite pattern - the Widmanstätten structure - forms only when a molten metallic object cools very slowly, which in this case means millions of years. The meteorite used to make the dial in Schaumburg Watch timepieces needed millions of years and to travel several million kilometers to become part of this extraordinary watch. Therefore, each watch from the Perpetual MooN Meteorite collection is unique, possessing its own part of the galaxy.
