Moon phases have always been a subject of interest for the Schaumburg Watch brand. The first involved the accuracy of the moon phase indications, and the second, its realistic appearance. Complex calculations and engineering work allowed for the development of a moon phase display with extraordinary accuracy. A one-day correction is needed only once every 122.5 years. Meanwhile, the image of the moon in Schaumburg Watch timepieces has achieved a "photorealistic" form.
The full moon indication is as large as 13.4 mm in diameter. This is the "largest" indication offered in an automatic watch. During a full moon, its small image on the display glows like its true archetype due to the SuperLumiNova A-grade applied to its surface.
